Antalis takes a leading role in European Industrial Packaging distribution
Antalis has acquired Dekker Packaging BV, a leading distributor of industrial packaging in the Benelux with a turnover of 22M Euros in 2005 and 75 employees. The company provides its 2,500 customers with added value solutions through its wide offer comprised of materials, machines and services. With this acquisition, Antalis enters the Belgian and Dutch industrial packaging markets and now covers 11 countries in this business area, thus strengthening its position in the European Packaging distribution market with sales of 200M Euros and 500 employees. As such, Antalis becomes one of the leading industrial packaging groups in Europe. “Following the acquisition of Brangs + Heinrich in 2004, this is another step in Antalis’ strategy to expand in distribution of industrial packaging, a high potential market. The two groups match very well in terms of products and customers, as well as geographic coverage, thus positioning Antalis as a key European player in this segment ”, says Godert Tegelberg, Packaging Director of Antalis. “As part of Antalis, Dekker Packaging BV now has the means to ensure its development and future growth as well as to serve its customers on an European scale”, says Wimar Jaeger, Dekker Packaging BV Director.
