The utilization of Branofol M8.AL, a blue-transparent film with active corrosion protection, is the most modern way to apply VCI. It provides reliable protection against corrosion of steel, cast iron on contact, galvanized steel, nickel, aluminium chrome, zinc, copper and its alloys. The feature of this film is its coating with an impermeable aluminium barrier foil. It is heat sealable and can be used for automatic packing and for pouch making. Branofol M8.AL corrosion protection film releases tiny amounts of active ingredients into the interior of the package. This causes even the metal surfaces that are not in psychical contact to be protected. The outer layer of aluminium barrier foil avoids exiting of the VCI agent and entry of humidity. Depending on climatic conditions and tightness of the packaging, this protection will last up to 36 months. Branofol M8.AL is available as a flat film with a gage of 110µy other varieties are available upon request. The VCI agent is completely harmless in accordance with TRGS615 (technical rules for hazardous substances) and can be used without concern. |
